Thing #5: Ich Bin Ein Berliner

I am a jelly doughnut. If we are what we eat, then that's what I am. I just wolfed one down after having visited the Dunkin' Donuts in the TR branch. Now, I normally don't eat jelly doughnuts; I much prefer Boston cremes or strawberry frosted. What possesed me to do something so out of the ordinary? Given that it's late afternoon and Dunkin' Donuts receives doughnuts just once a day--in the wee hours of the morning, mind you--the jelly doughnuts looked the most moist, or at least, the least dry.

And just as I'm ready to post a picture I found on Flickr, I've been eating my doughnut--hence the connection.

Thing #2: Hello, Fellow Competitors!

The closest I've come to blogging is when I've posted comments at newspaper websites. Now that I'm posting for fellow librarians, I'm at a loss for words. I've watched the video about the 7 1/2 habits of highly effective learners. All were pretty good ideas; I especially liked habit 7.5: play! And that's what I'm doing with this web challenge: playing and having a good time. Cheers!
